Doc's Beach House  from artist Debbie Hummel-Marconi

BAREFOOT BEACH NEIGHBORHOODS

This gated community is located in North Naples on 2.2 miles of beach. The setting is strikingly unspoiled, combining Gulf of Mexico, Little Hickory Bay and preserves. Six neighborhoods provide a choice of upscale residences, from single-family homes to villas, cottages and condominiums.

The Beach Gardens are comprised of eleven horseshoe shaped areas facing the beach and Gulf of Mexico. There are fewer than 100 single family homes in this exclusive beachfront area. The community has a private clubhouse, tennis courts and community boat docks.

Southport on the Bay and Bayfront Gardens are two secluded waterfront communities located on Little Hickory Bay. Both of these communities provide direct access to the Gulf of Mexico (no bridges!) and deeded beach access. Both offer a very quiet, private, uncongested location. There is a second gate to each of these subdivisions. Southport on the Bay will have 106 single-family homes, Bayfront Gardens 33.

The Barefoot Beach Club is located at the south end of the development and has 348 condominiums in twelve mid-rise buildings located along the Gulf of Mexico and the inner bay. This beachfront community has two private clubhouses and swimming pools.

Also at the south end, you will find The Cottages at Barefoot, 15 single-family homes - in the form of a land condominium - along the Gulf of Mexico.

The Villas at Barefoot Beach include 50 villas/townhouses. They are located on the north end of Barefoot Beach. These units have community pools, with some residences direct on the beach.

Collier County Schools: There are a number of families living in the development. The public schools for the area are Naples Elementary, Pine Ridge Middle School and Barron Collier High School.

The private, member owned Miramar Beach and Tennis Club at the south end of the development is available to all residents of Barefoot Beach. The facilities include an elegant clubhouse, beach dining, tennis courts and a swimming pool.

On the southernmost end of Barefoot Beach is Barefoot Beach County Park. The park is comprised of 342 acres on a barrier island. In addition to the rich vegetation in the park, wildlife abounds. The protected Gopher Tortoise lives within the hammock. Shorebirds can be seen in or near the surf, searching for food. During the summer months, sea turtles come ashore to lay their eggs and after hatching, thousands of young make it to the water. Southern bald eagles are frequently seen hunting or perching near the beach.
